PEAK, Northern Illinois Energy Project

DescriptionPEAK is a comprehensive educational program designed to empower and provide elementary and middle school students with the knowledge to manage energy use in their homes, communities, and schools. The PEAK curriulum focuses on Four Student Energy Actions: 1. Plugging in New and Efficient Technologies, 2, Shrinking Use Through Conservation, 3, Shifting Use Off Peak Hours, and 4. Planning for the Energy Future. PEAK is a program of The Energy Coalition, a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation. The program is funded by the Northern Illinois Energy Project, a collaboration of Citizens' Utility Board, Cook County, and the City of Chicago.
