Title: Composting in Schools

Abstract: This site is provided by the Cornell Waste Management Institute and Cornell University. Cornell Composting privides scientific inquiry for high school students as well as instructions for observing compost invertegrates and microorganisms, ideas for student research projects, indoor and outdoor composting, and a glossary. College level engineering, math, physics, chemistry, and biology lessons and projects are provided. There are numerous science project lessons for students in grades 6-12 as well.This was developed prior to the establishment of teaching standards, however, the materials are easily adaptable to current standards.
