Title: Cary Junior High School provides a lesson in excellence
Abstract: Cary Junior High School is a new facility located on a former farm field. The building incorporates grades 7 and 8, with the student population broken down into smaller, more intimate groupings. On the way to designing this school the building was oriented to maximize natural lighting and reduce solar gain. Additional green concepts were incorporated in the design including landscaping with indigenous prairie plants.
